Opening Period : Tanka Village Golf and Spa

Location
The Tanka Village Resort is located in Villasimius, on a beautiful stretch of coastline in the south-eastern tip of Sardinia, with a beautiful sea, part of the Marine Protected Area of Capo Carbonara. It covers over 40 hectares of land reaching to the sea, on the white sandy beach of Simius. The Resort is easily reached from the port and airport of Cagliari-Elmas, which are at approx. 48 and 55 km. The distance from the center of the town of Villasimius and from the tourist port is 1 km.

Rooms
The 646 rooms and bungalows (excluding that part of the residence) of the Tanka Village are immersed in the green of the well kept gardens, are spacious, modernly furnished and complete with all the amenities to ensure guests maximum comfort: air conditioning (in the Dimora and Dimora Superior is located just at the entrance), bathroom with shower and hairdryer, direct dial telephone, satellite TV, fridge and digital combination safe. At the Tanka Village, you can book your holidays in Formula Club or Formula Hotel; the Club card is included for guests of both types of stay. The rooms are divided into different categories depending on the chosen formula:

The Formula Club include the rooms: Dimora Standard, Bungalow Casbah Standard and Bungalow Casbah Superior with half board and full board. The restaurant dedicated to the guests of these categories is the Oasys (exception made for the Casbah Superior) and drinks are included during meals (water, house wine and beer).
The Dimora Standard rooms (50 in total) are apartments located in buildings with a lift at a distance of approx. 400 meters from the sea. The apartment consists of an entrance hall, living room with 2 or 3 sofa beds, one double room and two bathrooms. The air conditioning is located just at the entrance. Ideal for families with up to 5 people (+ baby cot).

The Casbah Standard Bungalow (they are 302 and are located in the central part of the Resort at a distance ranging from 200 to 400 meters from the sea); these may be on the ground floor or first floor. They are composed of: spacious room with two beds and living room with sofa bed in the same environment. They are suitable for a maximum of 3 persons + baby cot.

The Casbah Superior Bungalows are 65 studios located in a central area of the Resort. These are just at 200 to 300 meters from the beach. They may be at ground floor or first floor, some with balcony. The room is spacious and also has a sitting area with a sofa bed. These bungalows can accommodate a maximum of 3 people + cot (baby up to 4 years old). Guests who choose this arrangement have access to a private area for breakfast and dinner.


The Formula Hotel includes the following room categories: Domus Standard, Domus Junior Suites and Dimora Superior with half board treatment (lunch will be served at the various restaurants of the Resort), in the dedicated restaurant. They also have access to a wide range of exclusive services.

The 129 Domus rooms are located in a quiet area at a distance from the sea of ca. 400 meters, distributed in three different buildings on two floors with lift. Guests of the Domus rooms dispose of a dedicated reception and a private cafeteria in the garden adjoining the Domus. The dinner is served at the restaurant Mirto or Terrace Mirto.

Domus Standard Rooms are 45 studios on the second floor composed of a bedroom with twin beds / double bed a sofa bed and bathroom with shower and hairdryer. They have a terrace overlooking the garden. They can accommodate up to 3 people + cot. Inside the room there a few steps.

The Domus Junior Suites are 84 and are positioned on the ground floor or first floor. They consist of 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms plus a terrace or patio. They can accommodate up to 4 people + cot. Inside the room there are a few steps.

The Dimora Superior are 100 apartments in two-story buildings with elevator near the miniclub at 300 meters from the sea. They consist of: living room with 2 / 3 beds, 1 double room and 2 bathrooms with shower and hairdryer. The air conditioning is only at the entrance. They have a large terrace and are ideal for families of up to 5 people.

The cot is to be paid on spot.

Wellness Centre
Nestled in a beautiful garden on the outskirts of the resort, the spa is divided into two main areas, one outdoor and one indoor. In the inner part we find 12 cabins for treatments and massages while on the outside area, the "Dream Bay”, there are three heated pools with Jacuzzi, two pools for thalassotherapy, phlebology path, Finnish sauna and steam bath, multisensory showers and a large relaxation area. This is one of the largest and modern properties dedicated to wellness in the Mediterranean. It \'also possible to book a customized wellness program that also comprise beauty treatments (such as facial cleaning, , anti-fatigue and modeling massages, lymphatic drainage, mud baths, manicure, pedicure and wax). Other massages are available shiatsu, ayurvedic and holistic relaxation.

For Families
For the children there are approx. 8000 square meters of space with games and activities.
The Baby Club is dedicated to younger children aged between 9 months and 3,99 years. In order to enroll their children at the Baby Club a medical certificate of good health is needed. It has to have been done no more than 2 days prior to arrival.
The Mini Club is dedicated to children between 4 and 12 years old. It is open from 8:30am until 6:30pm from early June to early September. In the evening, from 9 to 11pm children can have fun with the baby dance and children shows organized only for them. During the evening hours (9 – 11pm) instructors coordinate their activities but do not give assistance. The baby and mini club are open every day of the week except Saturday (where the service time is reduced).

Restaurant
The Resort features 5 restaurants including 1 for children. 

The Oasys is the largest of the Resort, a tensile structure with 1800 seats distributed in an indoor and outdoor area, at a few meters from the sea. The restaurant is buffet style with drinks included (water, house wine and beer). Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. 
The restaurant Mirto and Terrazza Mirto are located opposite the pool, provide a buffet style service (water and house wine included) with traditional, national and international cuisine. They are open for dinner only and are reserved to Formula Hotel guests (Domus and Dimora Superior rooms). 
The Stella di Mare is an open air à la carte restaurant, at a few meters from the sea, famous for its seafood. It is available upon reservation and extra charge for all the guests of the resort. 
The Pizzeria Coyote is in the centre of the Resort and offers a buffet of hors d'oeuvres, fruit, desserts and the best pizza in the area. It is available to all guests upon reservation and it remains open until late evening. 
Il Cucciolo (the puppy), dedicated to children under 4 years old, meets their needs in a small cosy and friendly restaurant. It is required the presence of a parent during meals for children under 2 years of age. Dates and times of opening and closing are at the discretion of the management. 
The Calypso Bar is the central bar of the Resort located in the square of the palms. Open every day from morning to evening. 
Notteri and Nettuno are the ideal place for a drink or a quick snack on the beach: open every day from morning to late afternoon. 
The Bar Stella di Mare is the disco bar open daily at the times of the nightclub itself.
At a short walk from the spa there is the Biobar, where you can have a drink or herbal tea after a treatment dedicated to purifying your body. 
Not far from the beach, the Giardino dei Sapori is an open bar with furniture and oriental atmosphere and live music until late at night. The evening is a good alternative to the disco or an after hour meeting place. During the day, it offers a wide selection of quick meals and salads for lunch (only in high season).

Services & Activities 
Among the services of the Tanka Village Resort, there are the services included in the club card: windsurf lessons, sailing and canoeing, water polo, two freshwater swimming pools, basketball, volleyball, soccer, football at 8, bocce, ping pong, aerobics, fitness, archery, tennis, entertainment, parking. Baby Club (1-3 years), Mini Club (4 / 11 years) and Junior Club, train for internal connections. Not included services that require an extra charge: sailing, diving, boat rental, horseback riding, beach services, rent strollers, bikes, hikes, shuttle to and from Villasimius, medical, spa, golf course 18 holes out of the Resort but at a distance of few meters. The beach is among the services not included in the room rate; the extra cost vary depending on row of the sun umbrellas (Palmette). The service has to be booked on the beach at the beginning of the holiday or day by day. The Resort also distributes towels: the first is free (but a deposit has to be paid for each towel) and each change will require a contribution of a few euro. In the Resort there are many shops such as craft shops, newsagents, a pharmacy (without medical prescription), boutique GILLI, unisex boutique, jewelry, perfumes, hair stylist, photographer, typical Sardinian food, yogurt, travel (air tickets and shipping) information office.
One of the services of the Resort which is of particular importance is the day and evening entertainment with a staff who also takes care of the sport activities. They organize tournaments and competitions, dance classes and group games.
The evening shows are represented at the Amphitheatre Metropolis or at the Theater of the Sea which has a capacity of 1200 seats. 

In this Resort pets are not allowed. 

Tourist tax: The City of Villasimius requires the payment of a tourist tax of € 2.00 per person/night (excluding children under 10 years) to be paid on spot. The tax applies to the year 2012, from 01.06.2012 to 30.09.2012.
