Girotonno, Carloforte
It is a 4-day festival dedicated to the ancient tradition of the “tonnare” (typical tuna traps) rooted in the whole island of San Pietro,  in particular in the town of Carloforte. The event consists of music, shows, debates, and obviously, culinary competitions and tastings. The slogan of the event "Girotonno - Men, stories and flavors on the routes of tuna" underlines the deep relationship between  the tonnare tradition with the Sardinian Island.  Other Mediterranean towns participate to the Girotonno and each one present its own typical tuna recipes.
From the town of Carloforte, the only one on San Pietro island, you can discover the several beaches and coves of the coast and the unique beauty of the Sulcis Archipelago.

Porto Cervo Shopping Night, Costa Smeralda
