Located between the luxury Porto Cervo and the popular Baja Sardinia. Cannigione is probably the lesser known location in the Arzachena municipality, but it’s nonetheless a splendid – and yet affordable – beach destination. The beach of Cannigione – close to the Marina – is made of white thick sand.
Birdwatching is one of the main activities that can be done in Cannigione. The nearby pond of "Padula Saloni" is home to many species like the purple heron and the gallinule. Sometimes it is also possible to spot the osprey and the black stork.
Thanks to its strategic location, Cannigione is quite sheltered from the strong winds that frequently blow on Costa Smeralda. In the warmer months the average temperatures reach 28-30° and the water temperature is around 23-25°.
