Location
Only 50 Km from Cagliari, in Chia area, in the extreme south of Sardinia, the Lighthouse "Faro di Cape Spartivento" dominates the landscape from the homonymic promontory. Surrounded by a still wild and unspoiled nature, where the Mediterranean scrub grows with its splendid colours and scents, the Lighthouse stands on a cliff overlooking the sea, reachable by a dirt road closed to the public.
Lighthouse
Built in 1856 by the Italian Navy, on an area of 600 square meters, the Lighthouse accommodated the family of the lighthouse keeper up to the 80s. Today the Lighthouse has been turned into a luxury guests house, keeping its charm and its original nature of the lighthouse, which illuminates the sailors way for 150 years.
External area
In the 3000 square meters back garden, a centuries-old olive tree stands in the middle of a large lawn; a 12 meter fireplace with a lounge and a barbecue area. In the central raised area, eight crystal gazebos of 16 square meters each, where guests can dine enjoying the splendid sea or hill view. In front, overlooking the sea, a beautiful infinity pool with two Jacuzzi inserted into a wooden platform of 200 square meters dominates the landscape. All around, some original deck chairs and an elegant white leather lounge with 4 parasols, for lunch or a drink with breathtaking view.
Internal area
Passing through the crystal door, you enter the 120 square meters hall, embellished with precious red glass Murano chandeliers and divided into different rooms, with the elegant lounges and the dining room. A cast iron spiral staircase connects to the cellar (once an old underground tank) and a stone spiral staircase leads upstairs, where there are a tea room with fireplace and a huge old chest used as a library, the four junior suites and an office with PC, ADSL, telephone, stereo music system throughout the structure. The spiral staircase leads then to the second floor, in the lovely terrace: guests can relax on the four-poster beds for a sunbath or at night, to be enchanted by the starry sky.
Suite
The Lighthouse of Cape Spartivento offers a total of 10 beds, for an exclusive and refined stay. The four Junior Suites, 35 square meters, are divided into:
two Suites with sea view, furnished in modern total white style with round suspended beds
two Suites hill view, divided into two areas: the living area (with sofa and LCD TV) and the sleeping area (one of the suites is furnished with a bed in Provencal style, the other with a wrought iron four-poster bed).
In alternative the Lighthouse offers two mini apartments of 50/60 sqm located in an annexe building. They are built on two floors on an area of total 50 sqm and include a living area on the ground floor and a sleeping area on the first floor. The apartments flagship is the large glass window on the roof, an open window on the starry sky. These apartments are advisable for a couple with one child.
All rooms have double beds, bathroom with heated towel rail, full length mirrors, fridge, LCD TV with DVD and stereo, air conditioning, safe, high speed wireless internet connection, three bed linen and towels, bathrobes.

The Lighthouse Cape Spartivento offers 24 hours ADSL broadband internet connection and transfers to/from parking at the arrival and departure day (distance 900m); further more on request and extra charge: cook, waiter, butler, laundry, babysitting, transfer service with driver, excursions, massages and beauty treatments, rental DVD/projector/screen, single bed, cot. For golf lovers, only 10 minutes drive to the golf course at Is Molas Golf Club.
Peculiarities
The Lighthouse has been renovated with a panels system using the solar energy to heat water, and also with a phyto-purification waste water system, which reuses them for the garden.
