Is Molas Golf Club - Santa Margherita Pula

Opening Period Hotel Is Molas Golf Club
The hotel is opened from 07 January till 25 December 2008

The Hotel
Is Molas Golf Hotel has a typically golf oriented soul, located only 30 km away from Cagliari on the south west coast of Sardinia. Thanks to its micro-cliamate this area is unique on the island. In fact the near mountains keep away the wind coming from the north, giving the chance to its visitors to play golf the all year. This area is side by side with Santa Margherita di Pula, one of the most fascinatining part of the southern coast: two beautiful beaches of cristal clear water and the small bays create an enchanting landscape for those who love the wild nature of Sardinia.

The 4 star hotel Is Molas Golf, opened during whole year, features 82 double rooms and 2 suites, all the rooms have AC, SAT TV, mini bar, safe, balcony or terrace. The hotel offers as well a beautiful restaurant piano bar, swimming pool and a white sandy beach at only 5 minutes drive by shuttle bus.

Is Molas Golf Course
On the side of the hotel, the golf course features one track of 27 holes: the first 18 with par 72 are developed in a total length of 6.383 m. These have been inaugurated in 1975 under design of the architects’ studio of Cotton, Pennink & Partners and the project of Piero Mancinelli; the next  9, par 36, 3.155 m, planned by Franco Piras. The track hosted the Italian International Open during the 1976,  1982,  2000 and 2001 with famous names of the international ranking, such as Nick Faldo, Sam Torrance, Ian Woosnam together with the Italians Costantino Rocca and Baldovino Dassù, winner of the first Open in ’76. Since years the great champions have appreciated the track immerged in the Meditterenean macchia, as well today Is Molas Golf Course is considered one of the most fascinating track in the Mediterranean area with its 27 holes that degrade from the hill towards the sea and where at the horizon you will recognise the shape of the Torre di Nora with the ancient Roman ruins.
